More detail on Coventry Check & Send

Check & Send is only available to people living in the West Midlands about to turn 60 or for people over 60 that have never applied for a concessionary travel pass before.

People who already have a West Midlands travel pass but have not received a form to apply for the national concessionary pass should not visit a Check & Send outlet, but should call 0121 775 0001 and give their details. They will then receive an application pack for the new pass.

Those who’s 60th birthday is between now and April next year will be given a West Midlands free travel pass valid on all buses, trains and trams in the region.

They will automatically receive a new national concessionary pass in March for use on all buses in England from 01 April.

As part of an enhanced concession, this will also be valid on trains and trams in the West Midlands for people who pay their council tax to one of the region’s local authorities.

For people who turn 60 after 01 April 2008, they will just receive a new national concessionary pass detailed above.
