‘Gridlock or Growth – Choices and Challenges for the Future’ is a Green Paper for Discussion produced by independent consultants for all the West Midlands Metropolitan Authorities (Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton and the West Midlands Passenger Transport Authority/Centro)

The consultants involved are: Faber Maunsell, Mott MacDonald, Atkins, Steer Davies Gleave, Ecotec, Integrated Transport Planning and Scott Wilson

The report cost £1.2m to produce. This was part funded (£600,000) from the Government’s Transport Innovation Fund (TIF) with the balance (£600,000) coming from the Metropolitan Authorities
