Bus Showcase

The award-winning 'Bus Showcase' routes are a key part of Centro/WMPTA's commitment to high quality public transport in the West Midlands.

A partnership between Centro, the Metropolitan district councils and operators, Bus Showcase utilises the latest advances in travel technology to give passengers a range of facilities to make bus travel more comfortable and easier for everyone.

Bus Showcase routes are distinguished by modern, easy access buses, new enclosed glass shelters with Kassel kerbs for ease of boarding, and highway priority measures such as dedicated bus lanes and junction improvements. Many routes carry Real Time Information: electronic displays that tell the bus user exactly when the next bus will arrive and its destination. In the future CCTV and help points may also be a featured at selected stops, to increase security while travelling.
